Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame
The Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame was established to honor the contributions of those whose efforts have added significantly to the heritage of the Cape Verdean community. Those eligible for membership are people, living or deceased, of Cape Verdean descent; American born or immigrant, who live or have lived in the New England area; and those whose reputations have contributed to the Cape Verdean community in New England.
Portraits of the inductees will be mounted in the hall of the Cape Verdean Museum Exhibit as a permanent exhibit honoring the accomplishments of those who have played so significant a role in Cape Verdean history and its’ continuing growth, joining the portraits of previous years.
To be eligible for nomination, an individual must have brought credit to the Cape Verdean community and contributed to the history, prominence and heritage of the Cape Verdean community. Said individual must have made his/her reputation in the New England area. Nomination is not tantamount to the Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame.
The museum held its’ last Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame Banquet and Award Ceremony on April 5, 2008 at the Venus de Milo.
At this time, we are not accepting nominations to the Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame. The Cape Verdean Museum Exhibit will announce the date of its next Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame in ample time for nominations to be submitted.
